Prior to founding the Augello Law Group, P.C., Ms. Augello was a partner in one of the oldest law firms in New York. Ms. Augello has extensive experience in all aspects of Commercial Litigation and primarily focuses on Employment Law, traditional Labor Law and issues concerning education law at all levels.

Cynthia Augello has represented clients in matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, wrongful termination, whistleblowers, covenants not to compete, the faithless servant doctrine, First Amendment violations, Section 1983 claims, harassment and discrimination based on age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, race, national origin and sex under the New York State Human Rights law, the New York City Human Rights Law, Title VI, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title VII, retaliation claims, FLSA and New York Labor Laws including individuals and class-action members.

Cynthia represents clients before the State and Federal Courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York City Commission on Human Rights and the New York and United States Department of Labor. Cynthia also advises clients concerning employee investigations, handbooks, employment applications, terminations, employment contracts, employee compensation, independent contractors, restrictive covenants, union issues, and severance agreements. Cynthia has also represented municipalities concerning issues of Fair Housing, wrongful arrest, harassment, racial profiling, Section 1983, employment issues, civil service examinations, and the First and Fourteenth Amendment.

Cynthia has prepared and presented hundreds of seminars on sexual harassment, document retention, bullying, electronic discovery, Title IX, and the FLSA as well as various other workplace, employment and school related issues.

Brittany represents institutions of all sizes in commercial litigation, education, investigations, and employment law related matters.  Brittany passed the New Jersey Bar Exam in July 2022 with a score high enough to gain admission in any UBE jurisdiction.  Brittany is admitted in New Jersey and will soon be admitted to practice law in New York.

Prior to joining the Augello Law Group, Brittany worked for a medium-sized New York City law firm where she gained valuable experience drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and participating in investigations for employment and educational institutions.  Brittany graduated from New York Law School in May 2022.  While attending New York Law School,, Brittany completed a Note for NYLS Law Review regarding the indemnification of landlords within commercial leases under the New York General Obligations Law Section 5-321 which received a writing award for best paper by a graduating student on any issue involving landlord-tenant law.
